James Amir, DMD, FICOI embarked on his academic journey at Montclair State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then pursued his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (formerly UMDNJ). During his tenure at Rutgers, Dr. Amir immersed himself in rigorous Oral Surgery Externships at St. Joseph’s Medical Center and University Hospital, refining his surgical skills and clinical expertise.
His dedication and competence were recognized with prestigious awards such as the International College of Dentists Leadership (ICOI) Award and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) Award. Dr. Amir was also selected for the esteemed Community-Oriented Dental Education (CODE) program, where he devoted a year to providing dental care to underserved populations in South Jersey.
